Over white walls
the warm lamp glows
roams
falls softly against the rug
and me.
There are men,
sweet men,
bellies full of laughter
hands full of light.
Between us
music floats –
lingers on the hazy waves
lazy, waves
hello and disappears.
In moments of peace, I pause.
I think,
This is the world as I have built it.
I may be small, but my heart is big enough:
It is home to all these people who are also home to me.
